Job Description
Program Background: The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a global humanitarian aid, relief and development nongovernmental organization. Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, the IRC offers emergency aid and long-term assistance to refugees and those displaced by war, persecution or natural disaster. The IRC is currently working in over 40 countries and 22 U.S. cities where it resettles refugees and helps them become self-sufficient. Composed of first responders, humanitarian relief workers, international development experts, health care providers, and educators, the IRC has assisted millions of people around the world since its founding in 1933.
Position Overview
The Supply Chain Intern is a key position within Supply. This individual will be responsible for team supporting, data updating of procurement trackers & S/he will also support in documentations and preparations.
Major Responsibilities:
Carryout all documents photocopying,
Carryout all scanning of Supply Chain documents.
Carryout all archiving of Supply Chain files.
Proper filing of all Supply Chain documents
Supply Chain data entry.
Any other duties or tasked delegated by Supply chain manager.
Key Working Relationships:
Position Reports to: Supply chain Manager
Position directly supervises: NA
Other Internal and/or external contacts:
Internal: All staff
External: This position will require close collaboration with IRC Staff, suppliers & other networks, etc.
Qualifications
Undergraduate or Bachelor University Degree, preferably in management, administration, or related fields
Language Skills: Excellent in English.Maintain attention to detail and coordinate multiple tasks to meet deadlines.Detail-orientedSense of humorEffective time management and organizational skills.Ability to multi-task.Team spirit and problem-solving abilities.Good knowledge and use of Microsoft excel.Standards of Professional Conduct:
