Barefoot Student Kpando, Ghana
Are you a young adult, looking for a research question what is related to people living with a disability and education? Then this might be something for you!Not every child with a disability in Ghana attends school, as it is far away or parents prefer to send their child to a local school, where his/her learning opportunities are better. Unfortunately, when these children complete Primary education, they can only attend the general Junior High school. Often, they are rejected from those schools, because of their disability what causes a gab, between the academic performance of the students. However, most of the students who are living with disability, would like to continue school and receive their Junior High certificate, with that they are able to learn a trade and earn a small income for a sustainable life. UNiTED will like to conduct needs assessment in one of our partner community school to help upgrade it to a disability friendly institution in Ghana.
